Ian Wincote Nuneaton England Only born in 98 but I'm a massive Oasis fan and love the Britpop era in general.
Esther Reeve Norwich Uk Talking about hearing Shakernaker by Oasis, the first track I'd heard by them, with my mates in 'F Block' (our college canteen). It was a total OMG moment that united us as music obsessives and felt like we were embarking on a new era, one we'd been crying out for for ages. Well, that's how it felt with rosey hindsight, anyway, I think 😉
Jess Ilnicki Luton England Being right in the front at Knebworth and shouting abuse at Liam! Then getting star letter in just seventeen magazine saying how amazing the concert was.
Nick Amies Brussels Belgium Of all the big events that happened at that time, many of which I attended, perhaps what summed Britpop up for me was the night in 94 when Shed Seven played Norwich Arts Centre with Supergrass as support, we went en masse, then to the pub en masse where the jukebox was then beginning to pump out the coming sounds of the next two years. Everyone knew every word of every song. The pub was a rolling sea of entangled people, probably strangers to most, but joined in song. It got bigger, it got better, but that was a pivotal night for all of us in that little corner of Norfolk.
Sean Sinico Koblenz Germany Hearing oasis the first time
Chris Palmer Shrewsbury UK Only got to my teenage years in '99 so a bit late for the full britpop experience. But still saw plenty of great bands still killing it in the early 00's. Best of the lot was Oasis on the 10 years of noise and confusion tour at the Manchester Apollo. Really intimate venue compared to the stadiums and arenas I'd seen them at before. Played some absolute belters and never sounded better!
Dre Tzortzis Venice Beach United States Many late-nights singing Oasis songs in various European capitals.
James Beiley Norwich UK Pouring cheap lager over my mates heads in a pub listening to Champagne Supernova!
